Do you ever want a healthy dessert that is a little bit naughty at the same time? Show of hands. Yes, who doesn’t? That was me tonight. I looked around in the refrigerator and came up with Chocolate Peanut Butter Apple Dippers. And the best part? You can do all of this with just three ingredients.
First, assemble your ingredients. This is one of the quickest and easiest desserts around.
Next, pop your PB and chocolate chips in the microwave for 1-2 minutes until melted, stirring every 30 seconds or so. Slice your apple. This lovely looking apple is called a Pink Pearl. We ran across them last year and are typically greenish/red on the outside but when you cut into them, surprise! they are pink. They are also tart, sweet and delicious with something creamy and sweet. You can use any apple though.
Poor things, they looked naked and just begged to be drizzled with that creamy sweet chocolatey goodness. There, that’s better now.
Oh heavens, those were good!
Uh oh, I polished off the apple and still had chocolate and PB left. So these lovely strawberries jumped right on in.
So go forth and make Chocolate Peanut Butter Apple Dippers. And yes, you could also call this fondue. 🙂 But that is so 1975.

- Microwave for 1-2 minutes or until melted, stirring every 30 seconds or so.
- Dip the apples in the chocolate/peanut butter dip and away you go!

Variations:
You can scale this up to make more by keeping the proportions to 4:1 chocolate chips to peanut butter.
Use almond butter instead of peanut butter.
Use other types of fruit such as bananas, berries, pineapples, pears, etc.
