Now that you have some Vegan Thanksgiving Appetizers from which to choose it is time to start focusing on your Vegan Thanksgiving Main Course. This seems to be the thing that stumps new plant-based folks the most. “Whatever shall we eat instead of turkey?!”

Between you and me, you can make an entire meal out of just the side dishes but I know that some people really want a “main course.” Hey that’s cool with me. We have culled 14 Vegan Thanksgiving Main Courses that look fantastic! We’ve made several of them ourselves and they were wonderful!

As in the previous post we have labeled each of these as being oil-free, gluten-free, or soy-free as appropriate.  Our mission at Plantivores is to make a plant-based lifestyle more convenient, accessible and sustainable. Having an enjoyable Thanksgiving is one way to help you feel that a plant-based lifestyle is a wonderful way to eat, either sometimes or full-time!

Soy-free. Make gluten-free by not using pita bread and using another type of wrap or pocket. Make oil-free by not rubbing oil on the pita bread and using oil-free hummus.

Thanksgiving Meatless Loaf

Gluten-free, oil-free. We made this recently as a trial run and it was pretty tasty. The gravy recipe in this post was delicious!

Tofu Stuffed with Brown Rice and Mushroom Dressing

Gluten-free if you use gluten-free flour. Oil-free if you leave out the sesame oil in the tofu marinade.

Veggie Pot Pie

Oil-free, soy-free. Gluten-free if you make the biscuits using gluten-free flour.
We made this last year for Thanksgiving and it is a delicious and comforting fall dish. Instead of frozen veggies we used fresh veggies.
